Homepage Sliding Banners

Though the homepage sliding banners were very eye-catching and fun, they’re no longer a good idea to use. Brightly colored and distracting, most people would rather use a website with a less gaudy look like those of the single page and drop-down menus. These eye-catching banners seemed like a great idea once upon a time. They’re brightly colored, show visitors a wealth of information and have the appearance of being interactive. Most people, however, find them more distracting and annoying than anything else, so they’re falling quickly in favor of more truly interactive and less gaudy design, like single-page scrolling and simple drop-down menus.

Extensive Fill-Out Forms

It is important to get your user’s information via internet when you’re running certain businesses online. It is not, however, important for the users. In fact, it scares them away most of the time. Users that see a page full of questions refuse to fill out the forms and leave the website. The extensive forms only alienate potential customers. Most websites, at this point are realizing this and fixing the problem!
