Commonly Made Mistakes During Raleigh Video Production!
Follow these tips to help avoid commonly made Raleigh video production mistakes!
In our last two posts, our Raleigh Video Production team at TigerHive started reviewing a few commonly made mistakes business owners make, when creating their own marketing video. While our team does recommend hiring a video production crew to help make a quality marketing video, there are a few things you can do to ensure you get the best possible video on your own.
The first two tips offered information on capturing sound efficiently and how important the right lighting can be when producing a video. To take a look back, visit here and here.
Today, our Raleigh video production team will go over two more tips that will help you steer clear of some commonly made mistakes!
Frame your subject accurately. One of the most incorrectly used tool on a camera happens to be the zoom function. Zooming in on your video’s subject every now and then is key, especially when you need to show a product or service. The problem with zooming is a focusing issue. Each time you zoom in, the motion becomes distracting, as it will take your camera longer to focus than it would a professional one. To keep this from happening, it’s best to have your subject move closer to the camera, or have the camera set up as close as possible to the subject.
Minimize camera movement. To steady your camera, use a tripod. Having your camera stationary throughout the filming process is key. If you have a scene that requires you to move the camera, pause the shot, move your camera, and resume filming. A quick tip from abaproduction.com, is to “pause, count to three and then move slowly to your end point. Then wait three more seconds before stopping the camera.” Their tip will help you minimize movement of the camera and help with the editing process later on.
